The Craft Behind Your Dream Countertops
Every beautiful countertop begins its journey long before installation. The process starts with a skilled countertop fabricator who knows how to shape natural stone into something beautiful and useful.
At Classic Granite and Marble, we combine old-school craftsmanship with today’s top tools. Our team uses years of experience and digital technology to craft countertops that are both stylish and tailored to your space.
From granite and marble to quartz, quartzite, and soapstone, each slab is carefully shaped and finished. By handling everything ourselves, you get better quality, faster turnaround, and a countertop that fits like a glove.
What a Countertop Fabricator Really Does
More Than Just Cutting Stone
A fabricator does more than slice stone. They measure, shape, polish, and check every detail. Think of them as part artist, part engineer, and part problem solver.
At Classic Granite, our fabricators oversee every step. From your first template to the final polish, they make sure everything fits perfectly and looks great in your home.
Knowing the Materials
Each type of stone requires a unique touch:
- Granite is strong, heat-resistant, and great for busy kitchens.
- Quartz offers clean lines and easy upkeep.
- Marble brings timeless beauty with soft, elegant veining.
- Quartzite gives you the look of marble with unmatched durability.
- Soapstone is smooth, dense, and holds up well over time.
From cutting to sealing to finishing, our fabricators understand what each unique stone needs so your countertop turns out just right.

Inside the Countertop Fabrication Process
How We Bring It All Together
Every great countertop starts with a smart, well-organized process. At Classic Granite and Marble, that process stays in-house. We maintain control over every step to ensure your project is completed with top-tier quality and care.
Step 1 – Choosing Your Stone
It begins in our 98,000-square-foot showroom, where you can explore over 9,000 slabs in more than 300 colors. Compare granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and soapstone side by side, and get expert guidance to find the perfect fit for your home and lifestyle.
Step 2 – Digital Laser Templating
Next, our Templater will visit your home to take precise measurements, ensuring a perfect fit even in tight corners, around cabinets, or rooms with uneven walls. They will also determine the number and placement of any seams. This process uses advanced laser measuring tools to create an exact digital model of your project. The template is then reviewed by our expert CAD Department for a final review. The result is a precise blueprint that accounts for every detail of your project. Classic Granite operates seven advanced laser systems, making our templating accuracy unmatched.
Step 3 – Wet Fabrication: Clean and Sustainable
Once your design is finalized, fabrication begins. Classic Granite uses a wet fabrication process, where diamond-tipped tools and recycled water combine for smoother cuts, cleaner air, and better results. Our OSHA and LEED-certified facility uses a BACA Pure Water Filtration System that recycles 183,000 gallons of water daily.
This system keeps our air clean, our workspace safe, and our process environmentally responsible. It’s just one more way we take pride in every detail of what we do.
Step 4 – Edging, Polishing, and Finishing
This is where the details come to life. From clean, rounded edges to dramatic waterfall designs, we shape every feature to enhance your stone’s natural beauty.
Our finishing process highlights the color and texture of the stone, giving it a smooth, elegant feel. You’ll get to choose from a wide range of edge styles and finishes to make your custom countertop a truly one-of-a-kind project that suits your home perfectly.
Step 5 – Quality Inspection and Installation Prep
Before your countertop leaves our shop, it goes through a full inspection. We check every measurement, edge, and seam. Only when it meets our high standards is it cleared for installation.
Our CGM Certified Technicians handle every install with care, so your finished space looks polished and professional from day one.
Customization That Makes Every Countertop Unique
Tailored for Your Home
No two stones are the same, so planning every detail matters. Our digital tools let us line up seams and veining with precision, creating a continuous and natural look that extends across large surfaces.
From slab layout to finish details, your project is fully customized to match your space and vision.

Our goal is to give you a countertop that works as hard as it shines, day after day.
Choosing the Right Countertop Fabricator
Why Experience and Tools Matter
Not all fabricators are the same. Look for one that handles everything in-house and uses the latest technology. That’s what ensures real quality.
At Classic Granite, we’ve spent over 30 years perfecting our process. We use CNC machines, digital tools, and a fully equipped facility to deliver consistent, top-level results. Every project we take on is custom, and every detail matters.
Questions to Ask Before You Hire
Before choosing a countertop company, ask the right questions. It helps you spot the professionals from the rest:
- Do you fabricate in-house?
- What stone types and finishes do you specialize in?
- Are you OSHA or LEED certified?
- What’s your typical turnaround time?
- Can you remove and dispose of existing countertops?
- Do you offer care and maintenance advice?
At Classic Granite, the answer to all of these is yes. We take pride in combining great service with expert craftsmanship from start to finish.
Certifications That Matter
Classic Granite’s OSHA and LEED certifications show our commitment to excellence and environmental responsibility. Our focus on clean air, safe work environments, and water recycling sets us apart from most fabricators.
These are the details that reflect our values. We don’t just care about beautiful results; we care about how those results are achieved.
The Artistry Behind Fabrication
Where Craft Meets Creativity
Fabrication isn’t just technical, it’s creative. The way a slab is cut, where the seams fall, how the veining flows—it all plays a part in the finished look. Our team approaches each piece like a designer approaches a canvas, using the natural color, veining, and texture of the stone to create movement and balance.
A single slab of marble, quartzite, or granite can feel completely different depending on how it’s cut. The fabricator’s eye makes the difference between something ordinary and something unforgettable.
Where Technology Meets Craftsmanship
Stone That Tells a Story
At Classic Granite and Marble, we blend precision, creativity, and care into every slab we touch. With over 30 years of experience and a 98,000-square-foot facility, we lead the East Coast in natural stone countertop fabrication.
From the rich depth of granite to the elegance of quartzite, we help you create surfaces that are both functional and unforgettable. When you choose CGM, you’re choosing more than a countertop. You’re choosing a trusted team committed to bringing your vision to life.
