Granite Fabricator

Full-time position for a granite fabricator. Generous compensation per hour depending on skills and experience; company also offers paid time off, health insurance benefits and a 401k. We are a high-volume granite shop. We need help in both our fabrication and hand-polishing areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with hand polishing granite and/or quartz slabs
  • Need to know how to use hand polishing grinders
  • Have knowledge of production processes including hand fabrication
  • Have basic knowledge of granite installation methods and safety practices
  • Job consists of wet and dry cutting and polishing (company mitigates with water)

Qualifications:

  • Must take pride in workmanship
  • Must be consistent and reliable
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Job requires heavy lifting as well as accurate measuring
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required

Showroom Design Consultant

The Showroom Design Consultant is responsible for building meaningful and long-term customer relationships.The Showroom Design Consultant has comprehensive knowledge of design trends in the luxury market, as they pertain to stone, tile, and plumbing. This individual should have the ability to think outside the box and possess problem-solving skills in accordance with client goals. The Showroom Design consultant provides design consultations to current and prospective clients to facilitate customer experience and maximize selling opportunities.This individual should be a highly motivated, multi-tasking, goal getter who is able to juggle various priorities, projects, and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative design projects with clients
  • Lead customer-centric showroom experience by greeting clients and determining their wants, needs, and investment range
  • Educate clients regarding current design styles and trends, the selection process, and various stone products, to include the benefits and warranties provided by each selection
  • Assists clients with selection process by asking appropriate questions and translating answers into creative design solutions
  • Build and develop long lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and members of the local design community
  • Stay current with product knowledge and design trends
  • Reviews selections with clients, ensuring the client clearly understand the process, obtains all necessary signatures and payments
  • Perform proactive and consistent follow up with all clients and projects,ensuring projects are executed accurately
  • Additional duties and tasks as requested

Qualifications:

  • Preferred education: 4-year degree in design or related field
  • 2+ years experience in retail sales, design, remodeling, or related field
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Knowledge, or ability to learn, of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
  • Basic math skills, including square footage calculations
