Classic Granite & Marble

The first wave of Magnolia Green homes went up starting in 2007. Those kitchens are now 15 to 19 years old, and the builder-grade countertops are usually the first thing to go. Classic Granite & Marble helps Moseley homeowners replace them with a surface chosen from 9,000+ slabs, then handles templating, fabrication, and installation as one connected process.

If you are still selecting finishes for a new build off Otterdale or Woolridge, the conversation works the same way. Compare full slabs at our gallery about half an hour northwest, or start with an in-home consultation.

Countertop Materials We Fabricate and Install in Moseley

The five materials below are CGM’s primary and most popular categories, not our complete offering. Agate and porcelain are available in limited quantities. The 300+ color figure covers our complete inventory across all categories, not the selection inside any single material, which varies with current stock.

Granite Countertops

Granite offers natural color and movement that varies slab to slab, a different look from engineered stone. It resists heat and scratches, and usually needs periodic sealing. We import much of ours directly, widening what you can compare.

Quartz Countertops

Quartz is a frequent first-round selection, so revisiting it is often about finding a pattern you like more. Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone, Vicostone, and the exclusive Italian Collection are all stocked. It needs no sealing but can scorch.

Marble Countertops

Marble suits a powder room vanity or a dedicated baking surface better than a main kitchen run in a house with heavy daily use. It etches and stains more readily than granite or quartz, so placement matters.

Quartzite Countertops

Quartzite is natural stone with dramatic, striking veining, and many varieties hold up well in active kitchens. On the large islands common in newer Moseley floor plans, full-slab review helps you plan where the movement lands before fabrication.

Soapstone Countertops

Soapstone is non-porous, handles heat well, and develops a deeper matte look over time. Scratches become part of its character, which is a fit for some homeowners and not others. Our soapstone selection is limited, so check availability.

Why Choose Us

Why Moseley Homeowners Choose Classic Granite & Marble

Moseley is one of the fastest-changing corners of Chesterfield County, and much of its housing was delivered by production builders working from a short list of surfaces. Replacing that original top is where most homeowners here start, and the project only works if measurement and scheduling stay tight.

  • Robotic fabrication with CAD review. Precision cutting supports the long island runs, waterfall legs, and mitered edges that newer open floor plans tend to call for.
  • 9,000+ slabs across 300+ colors. You can view the full slab your countertop will come from, not just a sample of it.
  • One connected process. Selection, digital templating, fabrication, and installation stay with one CGM team from start to finish.
  • Licensed plumbing coordination available. Sink hookups can be included in the project scope for an added fee, which keeps one fewer trade on your calendar.
  • Saturday installation available. Practical for two-income households that would otherwise spend a vacation day waiting on an install crew.
  • 5-year and 10-year protection plans. Coverage that matters in a house you plan to stay in for the next decade.

  • Classic Granite and Marble did a great job for us. They were fast, very communicative and the final product went in perfectly and looks great.  Absolutely no surprises. There was an issue fitting the new sink in under the granite but the technician figured out a way to work around it and all is in and working great. I will/would use them again if needed.

  • If I could give more than 5 stars I would! CGM was amazing to work with through the entire processes. Our designer Sarah was incredibly, I really like how she came to the house to see our layout, to measure, and get the vibe of what we were going for which made it easier when I went to pick out what I wanted. There was a lot of options to choose from, CGM has a massive stock which is really nice. The templator Patryk was very nice and quick when he came to do final measurements! The installers Luis and his team were super efficient and took about 2 hours to get the kitchen done. Talk about an A team to have!! Thank you so much CGM, we love our granite countertops so much!

  • Absolutely LOVED my experience with Classic Granite and Marble. My husband and I spoke with few different companies when looking for countertop for newly installed kitchen island. Andrew was very helpful in discussing affordable options. He was patient with my questions and reviewed the entire process. Our new granite countertop was installed within 3 weeks! The install team were professional and punctual. Our new granite looks SO great. Highly recommend this company for your next project.

  • CGM installed our kitchen counters and master bathroom vanity counters recently and we could not be more pleased. Joey, the "templater" (gotta love that title) proved his technical expertise with his exacting measurements. All the counters fit perfectly. On the day of installation I asked Ricardo and Victor many questions about the process; it was interesting watching them ply their trade. Their years of experience showed from their gentle handling of our quartz counter tops to the detailed assembly to the final cleaning and clean-up; no mess was left behind. (They worked so well together it wasn't surprising to find out that they are brothers). And Heather, our Project Manager was extremely helpful throughout the project; the glue that held it all together. My wife and I highly recommend CGM.

Serving Our Community

A Newer Market With an Older Problem

Twenty years ago this stretch of Chesterfield was mostly farmland along Route 360. Then Magnolia Green, Summer Lake, Westerleigh, FoxFire, and Cosby Village went in, and the Powhite Parkway Extension is now being built to carry the traffic that followed. Almost every kitchen in those communities is under two decades old, which puts them at the exact point where original countertops start to look dated well before anything else in the house does.

West of Moseley Road the picture changes. That side stays rural, with larger parcels and older homes near Skinquarter and the Metro Richmond Zoo. Both ends of Moseley are inside our service radius, and both start the same way: a consultation, a full slab, and a clear plan.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Classic Granite & Marble serves Moseley from our 98,000 sq ft facility, showroom, and slab gallery about 20 miles northwest in Powhatan. You can compare 9,000+ slabs in person, or book an in-home consultation in Moseley if it is easier to start with the kitchen itself.

That depends on the material, the wear, and how long you plan to stay. Many homes from the 2007 build wave still have their first countertops, and replacing them is the most visible single change you can make. We will review the existing tops and layout at the consultation.

Yes. Classic Granite & Marble works with more than 300 builder, remodeler, and designer accounts. Bring the plans, cabinet drawings, and target schedule so we can align the countertop scope with the rest of the build before templating.

Quartz gives you a consistent pattern across a long run, while granite and quartzite bring natural movement that varies slab to slab. Island size, seam placement, overhang support, and cutouts all factor in. Seeing the full slab is the clearest way to decide.

Yes. We serve all of Moseley within our Central Virginia service radius, including the rural areas west of Moseley Road. Confirm the property address at the consultation so the team can review access and scheduling details ahead of templating.
